Refund Policy

Hello, 

Welcome to our return policies. We have a policy for online purchases, and a different policy for store-bought items from our bricks-and-mortar store at 4 Montague Street Balmain. As these policies differ, please read carefully. They are both outlined below:

ONLINE PURCHASES

At Casa Boheme we want to help. We understand that items don't always fit correctly or look how we'd hoped they would based on internet images even though we try and be as helpful as we can with our descriptions. We want you to be thrilled with your new purchase and if you're not, you can claim a full refund, exchange, or receive a store credit on full-priced items. It's easy to make a return. We just have a few things we ask from you. Please read them below:

 Returns

  • Our returns policy lasts for 14 days, so please get back to us before 14 days of your purchase. After that, unfortunately we can’t offer a refund or exchange.
  • To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and with its original swing tags.
  • Gift cards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash.
  • To complete your return, we simply require that you email us at returns@casaboheme.com.au and let us know what you wish to return, proof of purchase, and whether you would like a full refund, exchange or store credit. 

Refunds (if applicable)

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email within 5-7 business days to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you at this time wether your return has been accepted.
  • If the return has been approved, your refund will be processed, and the amount of the item will be automatically credited to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5-7 business days. If an exchange is required, we will send you a replacement within 7 days of receiving the original and the exchange is approved. If you request a store-credit note, we will email you a credit note or post you one also within 7 days of receipt of original goods and approval.
  • The cost of us shipping the item to the customer is not refundable. We refund the price of the garment or item and take off any shipping costs paid when applying the refund to the customer.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

  • If you haven’t received a refund after 7 business days of return being accepted by Casa Boheme, please first contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
  • Also contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
  • If you’ve done all of this and in the unlikely event that you still have not received your refund, please contact us at -returns@casaboheme.com.au.

 

Discounted Items - Sale items or Items offered under Promotional Discounts (if applicable)

  • Only full-price priced items may be returned for a refund, exchange or store credit note. All mark downs and sale items are final sale items and can't be accepted for a refund or exchange, or an in-store credit note. Please purchase sale items carefully as sale or discounted items are considered a 'final sale' item. 

Faulty Items (if applicable)

  • We retain the right to determine whether a garment is considered faulty or defective. If a fault is found with any item purchased at Casa Boheme at full price we will gladly (and apologetically) refund or exchange it. This applies to all items at Casa Boheme. We strive to ensure that we only sell wonderful, quality items however even perfectionists miss things sometimes. If you have purchased something you consider to be defective or damaged at time of sale at full price or has proven defective after (up to) one month from the time of sale even after being correctly handled during that time, please don't hesitate to come in and see us or contact us at returns@casaboheme.com.au.

  • Our policy entails that It is the customer's responsibility to cover the return shipping cost. Please note again, that shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund for goods, the cost of return shipping unfortunately will not be refunded.
  • Depending on where you live, the time it may take for an exchange product to reach you, may vary.
  • If you are shipping a returned item over $75, please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We can't guarantee that we will receive your posted item.

 

IN-STORE PURCHASES

 

REFUNDS:

  • We do not offer a refund for change of mind purchases for items purchased at our bricks-and-mortar store.

EXCHANGES:

  • It is possible to exchange items within 7 days of the original purchase date, so please come and see us again within the seven day period to exchange your item if you have changed your mind. After that, unfortunately we can’t offer an exchange.
  • To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be unused and in its original condition. It must also be in the original packaging and with its original swing tags.
  • Gift cards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash.

IN-STORE CREDIT NOTES: 

  • Casa Boheme can can issue a store credit note valid for two months from original point-of-purchase for any item that requires an exchange within the 7 day period. 

LAY BY ITEMS:

  •            We accept lay by on full-priced items.
  •            A minimum of 30% deposit is required to secure the lay-by.
  •            The lay-by period is for one calendar month from date of purchase.
  •            Deposits are non-refundable.
  •            After one calendar month from date of purchase, Casa Boheme reserves the right to cancel a lay-by.
  •            If a lay-by is cancelled the deposit is forfeited and the item is placed back into stock.  
  •            Lay-by items forfeit the refund, exchange and credit note policies that are available to full-priced items.
  •            Lay-by items are strictly 'final-sale', so please lay-by carefully. 

 

Faulty Items (if applicable)

  • Casa Boheme staff and our suppliers retain the right to determine whether a garment is considered faulty or defective. If a fault is found with any item purchased at Casa Boheme within a fair and reasonable time frame after purchasing at full price we will gladly (and apologetically) refund or exchange it. This applies to all items at Casa Boheme. We strive to ensure that we only sell wonderful, quality items however even perfectionists miss things sometimes. If you have purchased something you consider to be defective or damaged at time of sale at full price or has proven defective after (up to) one month from the time of sale even after being correctly handled during that time, please don't hesitate to come in and see us or contact us at returns@casaboheme.com.au.
